Modyfi is a guide for integrated, body-wide care that helps you recognize the good, cope with the bad, and build resiliency for the future.

We were brought on to reimagine the Modyfi brand and create a new brand strategy and identity that positions Modyfi as a dynamic thought leader in the mental health space, and showcases the personality their providers bring to their unique care approach.

Our partnership was collaborative from conception to execution. We started with meeting the founders of Modyfi and eventually met with the individual providers to gather their opinions and aspirations for the brand. Through these collaborative working sessions, it was aparant that this brand was comprised of multi-faceted, vibrant individuals who are incredibly passionate about what they do. We knew the new Modyfi brand needed to reflect these individuals who do the work every day.

It was imperative that the imagery associated with the brand represented the audience and patients that Modyfi serves.

We opted for a photography style that gave a sense of peeking into a real person’s life. Providing visuals that Modyfi’s audience could see themselves reflected in, and rejecting cold, clinical stock photography. Mental health struggles affect a large portion of our population. It was critical for the brand to appeal to people in an authentic way.

For anyone, asking for help can be uncomfortable and challenging. Those seeking care don’t want a “one size fits all” approach, they want a personalized care plan from a real person, not a chat bot.

The brand messaging needed to be unique and inviting. Modyfi is bold and adept, but they’re also genuine. They won’t sugar coat things, and always come to the table with a solution. Modyfi interacts with their audience in an bright, thoughtful way. Letting their audience know, “It’s okay to not be okay.”

Graphic Elements

Modyfi is focused on body-wide care for their patients; from head to toe. They’re experts who value the science behind their practice, and seek to impart that information with their community.

We created these graphic line drawings to depict the more academic aspects of the brand in a way that’s not only beautiful to look at, but simple to understand. These line depictions are also great for replacing imagery where a stock photo may be unable to appropriately represent a condition.

Modyfi seeks to find the root cause first, treatment second. This is not a “get ‘em in and get ’em out” therapy machine; this is a community that seeks to magnify and mend mental health with body-wide care. It’s their mission. In addition to traditional talk therapy, treatment plans include lifestyle medicine, functional medicine, vitamin & supplement support, nutritional guidance, and more.

Gradients

No emotion, feeling, or symptom is colored by one single hue–often there’s so much going on at once with many feelings present. Every moment of our lives is colored by a multitude of different emotions and feelings at once. Gradients can illustrate this. Gradients also depict change over time, like the changes and progress a patient makes as they Modyfi their life.

A Subtle Nod To A Smile

We took Modyfi’s icon, which depicts a person, and incorporated it into the logo. This signifies putting the “person” into the modification, into the work, and into the progress. We then broke out the icon, taking the arms of the person to be a subtle nod to a smile because the goal is joy, no matter how hard it is to get there.
