Fine Arts Exhibition at Underground

We collaborate with companies that align with our values, especially when it comes to art and design. Since unveiling the dynamic brand we created for Underground, they have woven the arts into their “open canvas” identity. Their upcoming exhibit features 114 pieces of art created by 81 artists in a showcase that opens Thursday, January 10, 2019. Details below.

Fine Arts Exhibition

The Fine Art Acquisition Program for 2018 acquires art from Georgia-based artists through Fulton County’s percent-for-art. This program has invested over $200,000 into the Georgia arts community, with $180,000 into Metro Atlanta, in 2018. The artwork will be installed in 14 libraries currently under renovation throughout the county.

Each year more than 300 professional local artists apply, the top artwork forwarded to jurors to select the final pieces for purchase. The artwork varies from 2-D works of drawing, painting, mixed media, collage, fiber, or photography to lightweight 3-D works of sculpture. Acquired artwork is displayed in various county facilities including libraries, senior, health and art centers, and government offices.
